Following his series of paintings dedicated to the heraldic symbol of the fleur de lys from 1998 and 1999, and 2004, as well as the stained glass series 'Rose Fleur de Lys' from 2003, Brian Clarke also adapted the fleur de lys motif to the medium of leadwork.
