The sculpture Study for the Deliverance of St. Peter (After Raphael), is based on Brian Clarke’s ‘Studies for the Deliverance of St. Peter’ works on paper, transformed into volumetric forms in the round.

This work is inspired by Raphael’s fresco The Deliverance of Saint Peter from 1514, in which the shining silhouette of an angel is glimpsed through the bars of a prison cell.
