Brian Clarke: On Line is the catalogue for the exhibition of the same name, which opened at the Arts University Bournemouth Gallery, Bournemouth, in 2020. This catalogue reproduces works from the exhibition, with contributions from Professor Emma Hunt, then Vice-Chancellor at the Arts University Bournemouth; architect Sir Peter Cook; and Director of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Paul Greenhalgh. It follows Brian Clarke’s investigations on the line through 50 years of drawing, painting, stained glass, collage and sculpture, uncovering the ties between the artist’s constant research and his use of different media.
