For Jan (Josef) is a series of small-scale paintings created by Brian Clarke in 2009 and dedicated to the Czech architect and friend Jan Kaplický. Each work in the series features a white linear element set against a black ground. This motif first appeared in the upper sections of Clarke's Bluebell Paintings from 2007.
