Brian Clarke's Bluebell Paintings series explores the shifting impressions of "hovering colour" produced by an English bluebell wood in May. This series developed from studies for the multi-panel canvas Hovering There, produced as part of an architectural installation for the Apax Partners’ headquarters on Jermyn Street, London.
