The exhibition Brian Clarke: Stained Glass was held at the Seibu Museum of Art, Yurakacho, in 1986. The following year it was installed at the Sezon Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo as a retrospective, merged with the travelling exhibition Brian Clarke: Paintings 1976–1987.
