Glass Art One
Glass Art One
Manchester Cathedral, Manchester, United Kingdom
11 Oct - 08 Nov 1975
In the mid-1970s, Brian Clarke was actively bringing attention to stained glass and sought to promote it as a modern medium, dispelling its associations with secular environments. In 1975, he organised the travelling exhibition Glass Art One, which featured autonomous stained glass panels.
Organised in partnership with the Mid-Pennine Arts Association, a commissioning agency developing projects across Lancashire and beyond, this exhibition travelled between the Derby and Manchester Cathedrals.
