Brian Clarke: Paintings is the catalogue of the inaugural exhibition of the new Robert Fraser Gallery, which opened in 1983. It reproduces Clarke’s large-scale neo-Constructivist paintings, created between 1981 and 1983, while he lived and worked in Düsseldorf, and then Rome. Clarke’s portrait photograph in this catalogue was taken by his friend and collaborator, Linda McCartney.
