G2-13 World Without End
2017
In the stained glass screen World Without End, Brian Clarke depicted a group of jellyfish drifting through a blue ground that evokes the depth of the sea. In the 2020 catalogue Brian Clarke: The Art of Light, Paul Greenhalgh emphasises how "In this way, the screen literally presents glass as a liquid."
This folding screen was produced with an innovative technique that eliminates the lead cames traditionally used to support and join stained glass, allowing the glass to interact freely with light and space. World Without End exists in an edition of 10 unique variants plus 3 artist’s proofs, published by HENI.
