Brian Clarke's Canticles paintings are a series of 27 works in watercolour on paper laid on raw canvas. Created in 2021 and featuring a variety of poppy flower compositions, these works were developed directly from Clarke's extensive Vespers series of 2019–2020, which explored the same subject.
