In 2020, Brian Clarke designed the crest for the Brian Clarke Church of England Academy in Oldham. The design features the silhouette of a spinning mill, a reference Oldham’s industrial heritage and a recurring motif in Clarke’s work. This image is specifically adapted from the artwork Lancashire Cotton Mill 9, part of the ‘Lancashire Cotton Mills’ series.

Accompanying the mill on the crest is the Latin motto Luceat Lux Vestra ('Let Your Light Shine'), from Matthew 5:16.

In 2023, Clarke unveiled a suite of six stained glass windows which are installed in the Academy.
