White Portal
White Portal
1989
White Portal is a stained glass roundel created in 1989 by Brian Clarke for a bathroom at Peel Cottage. The work features a blue grid motif in its lower half, animated by small, colourful amorphs and interrupted at the centre by a calligraphic lead line.
In 1990, Clarke completed ‘The Four Quarters’ stained glass windows, the fourth window of which is similar in design to White Portal.
