Cinema of the Aquamarine
2007
In 2007, Brian Clarke designed Cinema of the Aquamarine for Art Unlimited at Art Basel, a section of the art fair introduced in 2000 to showcase works that exceed the regular art fair stand, including monumental sculpture, installations, video projections, performance and photo series.
Clarke’s project was conceived as an arched architectural structure measuring approximately 4 meters in height, 6 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width. It was planned to be constructed from steel-reinforced composite and to incorporate a series of square stained glass panels featuring amorphs in blue, green, yellow and red.
