Brant Window
1996
In 1996, Brian Clarke created this stained glass window design for a private residence. It features four glass panels, each displaying a Fleur-de-Lys pattern against blue reticular backgrounds, a heraldic motif derived from the Saint-Chapelle, Paris. A white field spans horizontally across the four panels in the upper section of the composition.
This Fleur-de-Lys pattern was originally developed for the ultimately unrealised commission for the Heiliggeist-Kirche in Heidelberg and was realised in glass in the same year in the Peel Cottage Window.
