In the 2020 catalogue Brian Clarke: The Art of Light, Paul Greenhalgh writes:

‘In World Without Beginning, a colour field that moves from blues in the upper panels to blue-greens in the lower ones is as close to abstraction as the screens get, though the swirling turbulence of the whole is entirely natural in feel. The storm it evokes has the epic feel of J.M.W. Turner.’

World Without Beginning exists in an edition of 10 unique variants plus 3 artist's proofs, published by HENI.
