All Saints Church

1975 - 1976
Habergham, Burnley, United Kingdom
DESCRIPTION

The subject of Brian Clarke’s new windows at Habergham Eaves, Lancashire was the Creation story, rendered through abstract designs. The artist designed, produced and installed it entirely by his own hand in 1976.

In the 1994 essay 'Eloquence from Intractability', Martin Harrison hailed this early project as ‘the great dissonant masterpiece of English ecclesiastical stained glass of the twentieth century.’
